CUB SCOUT Raingutter Regatta and Trash Cleanup
Once again I am blog-lifting from the cubscouts to update you on the adventures of Colton the Wolf scout....here is what they have to say:
"Rain Gutter RegattaThe Cub Scouts designed and painted their boats and sails for the big race! We had a great time and the boys are excited to do it again next summer! The race track is a rain gutter filled with water and the boys blow the sail to move the boat to the finish line. The winners received ribbons! After the race the boys stayed to take a swim!"
I would like to add that Colton got 4th place and a cute little ribbon!
"On September 3rd, our first den meeting of the school year we met at Todd Park.We cleaned up trash from around the play area and surrounding grassy area from the pavilion to the community center from the fence to the street.Boys reviewed the Buddy System as this months theme is about buddies. They played some games using their teamwork skills. We are working on the World Conservation Patch which requires service projects in the community and Leave No Trace Behind, meaning they have to leave the place they were at better than they found it as if they were never there!Everyone had fun and we even found a new scout who wanted to join our pack!"
It was HOT out there so the boys really worked hard for this one! Way to go scouts!
