Here is a definition and description:
The canepa, quinepa, honeyberry or ginip is a seasonal fruit available from June through September. A must-try for anyone unfamiliar with this delicious fruit, you pop the skin by biting it, then put the fruit in your mouth and suck the flesh off of the large seed. Due to their very short shelf life (a few days), you won't find them for sale in grocery stores but only by the side of the road.
